just another day

i am 4 days away from a Much needed thanksgiving break. but even then, i still have a lot to worry about....such as FINALS. i truly won't be able to breathe easy until this semester is over.

i hope i get to see some friends while i'm in california. It's really the thing i look forward to the most whenever i come home.

i know people might say, "well shouldn't it be your family that are the people you look forward to seeing most?" well the thing is, i'm not trying to say i like my friends more than my family. i Love my family and that will never change. But the fact is, i am 100 times more certain that i'm going to see them again. But friends, you are never really sure when you see them again. I don't know exactly what it is that makes my friends so important to me, but it's there, in my heart. they are the people who could have just as easily decided, "i don't want anything to do with this person".....

ADDITIONAL RANDOM THOUGHTS

well i know what i'm going to be thankful for this thanksgiving.

when you think about all the things you can be thankful for, it very easily brightens your day.

i can't wait to see HER.

if you haven't seen Ratatouille yet, you should go see it.

if you haven't seen Dan In Real Life yet, you should go see that too.

que sera sera....

%^$#@ VENT!!!!

Today has been a horrible day that was ruined in the second hour that i was conscious. i pretty much failed my physics test, i know it!!!!! goddamn that man that is our so-called professor!!! our test was on chapters 4-7, which meant newton's three laws of motion, work, kinetic energy and potential energy.

and what was on the test?

certainly NOTHING about any of those things!!!! i mean it might have made sense....to a physics grad student!!! what the fuck!?!? i swear this guy just pulls it all out from all the critical thinking questions at the end of the chapter.....you know the ones, that are the last questions of the chapter, the HARDEST ones that you need to look up like 50 things in the book and/or even other outside sources just to get the goddamn answer!

i mean the first question made sense, sure. it was about finding FORCE (so.. Newton's Laws) great! no problem there. but i flip the page and BAM! all of a sudden i fall into wonderland and nothing makes sense anymore!

the problem is that it just wasn't understandable, its just that he NEVER WENT OVER THAT KIND OF MATERIAL BEFORE THE TEST. i'm pretty sure i would have been able to determine if -Cy^2 in the j-hat direction is a conservative or non-conservative force.... IF HE HAD TAUGHT ME.

well...i have to go to my last class.. *sigh

Invictus by William Ernest Henley

Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.

In the fell clutch of circumstance,
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.

Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds, and shall find, me unafraid.

It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.

just a small poem i came across a couple minutes ago.... and i liked it alot. So i decided to share it. Enjoy!

you win christina.....

so a couple days ago (maybe a lot more than a couple days ago), i was talking to christina over AIM and she had just made a new blog. She said i should get one too but i told her that i was never very good about updating my blogs (r.i.p. to my xanga) and i was pretty sure that if i started up a new one, it would end up the same way.
But now here i am, i made a blog. As i am typing this i'm constantly asking myself, why? why? WHY? well to answer my own question, it's simply because i am bored out of my mind right now. There is no one in the suite because they all have better things to do apparently. Unfortunately in the town of Prescott you have to be highly imaginative and creative to come up with something fun to do. The parties here are pretty much crap...which i don't think is completely the party-throwers' fault because we live in one big retirement town....but still. It is days like these that make me miss California the most. In California i have a girlfriend, a bunch of other friends, and even more things to do WITH them! Here, I am an engineer, in a town in which the most entertainment you can possibly get is at the local theater.
It just now occurs to me that since i live in such a monotonous boring town, my blogs will probably consist of monotonous boring crap as well.... so if anyone actually reads this, please, i warn you now that the only reason you will be reading my blog is 1) you are extremetly bored yourself and, 2) you want to know whats going on with me.
